Srinagar, Oct 27 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir government has revealed that a total of 1,586 engineering posts are lying vacant across the Union Territory in the Public Works (R&B) department, reflecting a major manpower shortfall in the infrastructure sector.
In a written reply to a question raised by MLA Mir Mohammad Fayaz, the department, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the vacancies include 344 gazetted and 1,242 non-gazetted engineering positions that remain unfilled.
